Despite all the negative or otherwise dubious reviews, I settled on this cute little hoop. I confess, for some reason I thought it was a pair of hoop earrings, but there is only one in the set. This wasn't a problem for me because I wanted it for a cartilage piercing so I only needed 1 anyway! My ears are pretty average in size, possibly small, but hardly. I bought 6mm and it is PERFECT! I think the 4mm would fit and really hug my ear (see pic!). It was SO easy to put in and close and you can hear it click into place which is nice. The ONLY negative I have to say is that the small size of the hoop, clasp or whatever you call it is very visible but you really only notice it on close inspection. You can see it in the picture and it really doesn't matter. HIGHLY recommend! :)
