I've read many reviews of other gutters saying they don't fit the bowl in question. I have a red KA Professional HD metal bowl stand mixer (Costco circa 2005 with bowl lifter) and was looking for a pour spout as the blender head doesn't tilt backwards. Seriously, there were times I thought twice about using a damn blender because half the flour ended up on the table when the ingredients were added. I recently bought this parachute and so far so good. It fits perfectly, serves its purpose and looks very strong and durable. Very easy to clean. I've only used it on wet dough so far, but it was very smooth and there weren't any drips or stains anywhere. I kept the bowl on top and turned on the mixer while I added the batter and everything worked great. I expect this would work almost as well for dry ingredients and would be a big improvement over losing half the flour on the countertop. As an added bonus, it slides easily over the rim so it can be moved to the other side in a jiffy. In my opinion, Kitchen Aid has a major design flaw with this version of their blender (there's no easy way to add ingredients while blending), and that little chute makes that a lot easier. Very happy with this purchase.
