That's a lot for six of them

That's a lot for six of them. They can be made to serve pizza and I'm sure they will do a great job. But I have discovered (and am still discovering) many other uses for them. Think of it as a strong, durable, heat-resistant round piece. however, a sturdy paper plate holder - a standard cheap paper plate fits nicely on one of these, providing a sturdy, fail-safe base. You can also use them as hot plates over a stove or fire. Wrapped in some aluminum foil so they can be used as serving plates without having to wash the dishes. I also use one under my small camping wood stove so I can use it on a wooden picnic table without fear of burning or scorching the wood top. Wrap it again in a piece of aluminum foil to keep the soot off of it. I was soldering the other day and used one of these as a place for a soldering iron so as not to burn the meter. strong and fairly indestructible. I just throw them in the dishwasher and they don't wear out any further. I'm not concerned about how shiny they stay and I don't mind if they get dented and beaten. For such a small size they are VERY strong. Sure, you could probably bend one in half if you really wanted to, but you won't find them accidentally damaged in normal use. However, I can see that the larger sizes will suffer from the fact that the outer bead doesn't give them the same structural strength when made of aluminum of the same caliber. I'm sure I'll find another use and for the money you can't beat it.
