Where was it 10 years ago? Much better (and cheaper) than strips. I've spent so much time trying to figure out salinity in the past. The Hayward panel and test strips never matched even after recalibration. Test strips are difficult to read, expensive and time consuming. Had to take a sample of Leslie's water many times to confirm actual salinity only to find it was actually high not low. Then the water had to be drained or left behind and the basin diluted. This meter is easy to use, ready to use and accurate. I took several samples and, with Leslie's help, confirmed that they are all consistently accurate. Cannot recommend highly enough to anyone with a salt water pool. This will help you keep salinity in the "golden zone" to maximize chlorination just below noticeable saltwater sensation.
