Review on πŸš— Veepeak Mini Bluetooth OBD2 Scanner: Android Car Diagnostic Tool, Torque Pro, OBD Fusion, DashCommand Compatible by Patrick Lets

Revainrating 5 out of 5

That does not work! or maybe yes.

Two different cars, a jeep, a hyundai; An Android tablet, an Android phone, a Windows 10 laptop β€” β€” β€” all failed to connect to Veepeak. The one time it connected it failed to connect. Yes, I've connected Veepeak to every device I've tried it on. One star only because I can't give anything! I have already spoken to customer support via email regarding their website, no I am NOT entering any personal information on an insecure website. ETA: 1/22/19: After a very scathing initial review, I must confess that this was not a Veepeak device, but a program I used for testing. "ELM327Test" failed miserably despite being told it was a good program - whatever. After a few posts with a VERY responsive company (I'm impressed!) I installed the Torque Lite which looked pretty weird on my Jeep at first but then decided it worked. Testing the Veepeak device on other vehicles with Torque Lite and other programs convinced me that it wasn't the device itself, but the absurdity of the original user (er, me!) who fully believed in a program. John, thank you very much. For your patience!

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Cord shorter than others
