Improvement on the M8 threaded rod for 3D printing

Easy to find quickly (e.g. 8mm four-start pitch, meaning the nut moves 8mm along the rod for each revolution ), but their precision (single launch, 2mm pitch) T8 threaded rod which I found much harder to find, especially in the US. Useful for 3D printers as an improvement over the M8 threaded rod due to the significantly less play, although changing the pitch means you'll have to rebuild the firmware to change the number of steps per mm relative to the 1.25mm pitch of the adapt M8. Please note that the flange nuts included in the kit do not directly replace the M8 hex nuts. So if you are replacing the M8 rod in a 3D printer, you will likely need to modify the printer to work with flanged nuts.

Pros
  • Length 400mm
Cons
  • Pack for drilling
