We live in predator country. I mean big predators such as bear, cougar, coyote. The previous harness was allowing Tater, a Havanese, to periodically escape. A few times, he would wiggle out while we were still doing evening chores. This is the most dangerous time as predators come out about dusk. Tater is young and still learning commands such as 'Come here'; we live on a farm in the mountains of northern Washington state. After his third escape, I decided it was time for a new harness. Tater has been wearing this harness for a couple of months without a single escape. It is Houdini proof! It is fully adjustable both in the neck and chest, so it will grow with him. It is soft and does not irritate his delicate skin or mat his coat. It does slip over the head, which going on is not much of a problem, but removal is a little tricky as it can become snug around the throat. It does adjust, so before removing, it can be lengthened alleviating the feeling of being choked, although it doesn't really choke, but gives the dog that impression. This harness is quite secure and even though Tater is little, he can pull quite hard but this harness securely holds onto its small charge. If you have a Houdini dog, this harness is for your furkid!
