I have a crazy Longhorn that can't turn around without backing into things and after one week it made a dent in my rear fender, the next week it crashed into my front fender and did the same! Basically, the wing just behaved like those flapping rubber things I see when the turn comes in and doesn't come out. I just had to go behind it and pull it out again. I got it and tried it on a major front dent and it popped out pretty well. The overall finish is slightly altered, but you won't notice that it's dented. Unfortunately, the rear dent is smaller and sits between two ribs, making this suction cup too big to grab and pull out. I have to use a hot glue based puller but it works for a proper dent. It's basically just a suction cup for moving glass and such, so obviously it still works for stuff like that. You press it against the surface and then snap the handle, which then pulls on the cup, creating a vacuum underneath.
