Review on Altec Lansing MZX1003-BLK Whisper Active Noise Cancelling Headphones – Black by Betty Tucker

Excellent noise cancellation and very comfortable!

After using several Bluetooth headphones and earphones from newcomers to the market, I was glad to try these headphones from the traditional company Altec Lansing. One of the most important aspects of in-ear headphones for me is the wearing comfort. These earbuds are tight but comfortable. Even though I've had lighter sets, they still don't feel heavy. I wore them for several hours and my ears didn't feel hot. The sound quality is excellent. Bass might be a little lacking for some audiophiles, but I think it's everyday wearable and better than most Bluetooth sets I've tried. Whether via Bluetooth or wired, the sound is clear. I listened to audio books, music of different genres and videos. Everything was very good. I was particularly impressed by the lack of audio lag when watching videos over Bluetooth, as has been the case with other brands. So the mouths really matched the sound. Initial pairing is very simple and reconnection is instantaneous after turning on the device. Although the range does not fit. I could hear when my phone was anywhere within 30 feet before it started falling apart. Later I was only about 20 feet before it broke up. Since I usually carry my cell phone in my pocket, it doesn't really matter to me. But if you don't keep your device with you, range could be an issue for you. The noise cancellation is impressive. Because the headset fits snugly, outside noise is already muffled. But when I turned on the noise reduction, the muffled sound just went away. The noise canceling feature works even when no headset is connected to the device. So if you're on a plane and just want to block out the noise around you to read a book, this is a great option. the controls are a bit cumbersome. Most of the other kits I've used have buttons on the outside of the earcup, but those buttons are on the front of the earcup. But I'm sure I'll get used to it over time. Overall I am very happy with these Altec Lansing headphones.
