Once you bought this you can point it at the harbor ceiling fan right away and it will work. will be disappointed. First, it doesn't come with a battery. You need a special battery shorter than AAA. where can i find one? Apparently if you have it you need to program your fan to make it work with the remote control. How you do that? I think you have to turn off the power to the device, turn it back on, then aim and it will program itself. But even that I'm not sure. Advice. Don't buy Harbor Breeze fans and don't buy this remote control.
