I need a container that will keep the poles dry, ie protect them from humid air. Based on the reviews and the description as "luxury" and "sealed" I ordered this one. Upon receipt and visual inspection, I noticed that the sealing surface on the container body is clearly not smooth. Thought maybe a square o-ring would make the seal anyway, I tested it by screwing the lid on tight and placing the container in a bucket of warm water (to expand the air). When the seal started bubbling, I took it out of the water and screwed the cork back in. They also blew bubbles. And when I took it out of the water (for about 5 minutes) and removed the lid, there was about a tablespoon of water in it. The defect doesn't look like an accident in my opinion, but rather sloppy production in general. It's useless to me.
