Was great for the first 10 months

I've had this for a year today. It worked great for about 10 months. Then it started leaking and sometimes not turning itself off. When it keeps boiling the steam shoots out where the switch is, so you have to take it off the base instead of turn it off. This happens even as after descaling. But it happens randomly. Maybe 3 out of 7 mornings. There are some other leaks too but that one is the most troublesome.
