Review on Cross Dowels Barrel Nuts Off Centered by Ryan Hoover

These barrel nuts were purchased to replace the original nuts for 10 years. old solid pine futon bed, the original nuts started breaking in half when I pushed it out whenever the inkling came up. At first I refused to write a review because the new nuts didn't fit the original futon bolts, I thought they sent me the wrong size and got pissed. After 9 months or more the original nuts kept breaking, I considered looking for a smaller bolt for these new barrel nuts and to my surprise I found that the threads of the old bolts (thinner) were the problem. All other bolts at Home Depot fit new nuts. Problem solved! I even had screws in my tool box, no need to buy them. The new barrel nuts work great and are ALL METAL unlike the originals on the futon.
