These deflators do their job very well. The main thing is to set them up correctly in advance. Deflators take about 10 minutes to stop deflating, but they travel 90% of the way in 5 minutes. One of mine had a damaged o-ring, I decided to see how easy it would be to take it apart since you don't have many options on the trail. They're really easy to take apart and you can get replacement springs and seals from Home Depot, I have spares now in case one of them breaks. The trick is to follow the instructions. Installing deflators is not difficult. Deflate the tire, fully close the deflator, put it on the tire, and then gradually open it until you hear the slightest amount of air coming out. Most of the negative reviews come from people who don't follow the instructions. They don't adjust them gradually and complain of uneven or improper tightening of the locknuts afterwards and loss of adjustment.
