Sometimes RAM with a lower clock speed but lower latency can be faster. However, this RAM has both high clock speed and low latency! SPEED = clock_speed / latency. CAS 9-9-9-28 latency is lower than any other RAM compatible with my E7240. Speed makes my E7240 noticeably faster. The increased storage capacity from 4GB to 16GB allows my computer to run computational tasks with large datasets with ease. My large spreadsheets run much faster, and the processing speed of high-resolution photos with ACDSEE Ultimate is noticeably faster too.
