I have a small pond in my garden and a few years ago, to my great surprise, a turtle moved into it. I bought cork bark for sunny locations which worked fine for a while but it got wet so I needed a replacement. I was planning to build a small floating turtle dock when I saw it was recommended on a herpes website. Being lazy by nature, I decided to give them a try even though they seemed a bit overpriced. He came quickly, I put him in the pond and almost immediately a turtle crawled onto him. It has a beautiful design where the ends fold into the water for easy access even for small turtles. It has been painted very nicely so it looks very natural in the pond unlike any pier I have ever been able to build. I immediately bought another one and yesterday I saw a large turtle on one and three small turtles on the other. I don't know how long they will last, but so far I'm very happy with them. They seem expensive, but once I found out the cost of making them, it turns out it's not that bad.
