Review on CURT 56070 7-Foot Vehicle-Side 7-Pin Trailer Wiring Harness Extension, Select Chevrolet, Dodge, Ford, GMC, Nissan, Ram, Toyota - Black by Joey Pritchard

Works perfectly on my 2011 Ram 2500.

Purchased when I bought a fifth wheel for my 2011 Ram 2500. This is the easiest way to add a 7 pin plug to your bed. You simply unplug the back of the 7-pin connector on the bumper, plug in both ends where you disconnected it, and the end of the wire harness that you disconnected. Then simply drill the desired hole in the truck side panel to install the connector. I'm always nervous when it comes to drilling holes in my truck, but as long as you use the right tools and follow the instructions, it really doesn't matter. . A word of caution, but make sure you try to look up from the bottom and make sure you can get the harness up to the rear bumper and that there is enough depth to put the harness where you want it to be placed on the side of the truck. I was pretty close to having the connector pressed against the outside metal of the truck's side panel where I installed it. Luckily it was just perfect, but it could definitely be a big problem. Otherwise, the work with our trailer was flawless. Haven't had a power outage or anything yet so I have to say it's a pretty good quality product.
