First I bought a cheaper model, E1500, but since it had a weak Wi-Fi signal, I changed it to E2500 within 2 weeks. But the problem remains the same. It seems that the signal of this model should be more powerful, but in practice I had a weak signal (one stick out of five) in the room through 2 walls, and remained. Later I noticed another problem: the router greatly cuts the speed over the cable! I connected the laptop directly, the speed test showed 68/56, through the router - 38/42 at best! I do not know what to do. I installed the latest factory firmware - the result was zero (as if I didnβt install anything). I installed the firmware from MirWiFi - the same thing, only more functions. But it didn't affect the speed at all. If someone has tried, tell me if the DD-WRT firmware will save the situation? If so, which version is better to install (there are several of them, I heard that on some versions the router goes into a cyclic reboot)?
