I have read many reviews about it being short lived and falling off frequently. If you walk in knowing it's just plastic, it will serve you well. Do not overtighten the locking bolts. It doesn't take a lot of torque to hold them like they should. I've used this several times on different vehicles with no problems. Take your time getting it there and aligning it and it works great every time.
