Necessary! suitable for chef's knife

They get boring. One of them is better to cut meat from a big blue one with a dull than with a sharp knife. I do not know why. It will rust if you let it hand wash, dry well, then rub with vegetable oil and store in the K-Bar case. You don't have to choose the best, but personally I prefer leather.
