Review on Ultra Cat Health Monthly ๐Ÿฑ Monitor Crystal: Ensuring Optimal Feline Wellness, 16oz by Crystal Taylor

Conceptually good, but ultimately useless

Conceptual. Yes, put it in a piss box and if you see it change color something is wrong. Yes, conceptually. Practical: 1. Cats dig in the sandpit because. Well that's what they do. Her beautifully arranged crystal has debris mixed all over it and will... you guessed it! Useless. In practice: 2. Colors are estimates at best and depend on temperature, humidity and other chemicals in the litter which can change the pH, completely destroying the basic design principle of this "detector". Some substances added to kitty litter (scents, clumps, baking soda) will completely destroy this detector. If you didn't know what baking soda is? base chemical. An acid-neutralizing chemical, remember? You can add vinegar to baking soda and make a volcano, right? Yes. If your kitty litter contains baking soda, your test will fail. Convenient: 3. If you are buying a monitor because you suspect your cat has a urinary tract infection or some type of urinary tract problem. Save the money and take your cat to the vet. If you suspect this, you must have reason to believe. This reason should be enough to start thinking ahead, not behind. . especially in cats. This detection will either not work (for the reasons above) or cause you to delay your cat's visit to the vet. or give you an incorrect reading (reasons above) and ban your cat from visiting the vet because you thought the crystal was telling you everything was fine. So stop using this crystal as a crystal ball. Don't use it. This is my opinion and my logical reasoning as to why it doesn't work. Thanks very much!
