This works best with the factory receiver on my 2004 Duramax. The trailer fork bracket is on the left side of the rail, so the number of locks that can fit is limited. Also other locks with a kink at the end tend to rub the oval into the side hole. My receiver size is 2 1/2", so I bought a longer pin lock and replaced one of those latch heads with a longer one so my hitch extender uses the same key for both pin locks.
