This product works well and allows you to add handrails almost anywhere you shower or want bath wall. They come individually, not in a set of two, so you'll need two of these if both ends of the rail don't fit in the cleats. But please don't make the same mistake we did! We assumed our tiles were ceramic tiles and not porcelain tiles. We should have known better but we built our home 28 years ago and I think we forgot. Anyway, assuming our tile was ceramic, I also ordered a Disston E0104578 1-1/4" Carbide Grit RemGrit Hole Saw from Revain at the same time I ordered the Securemount brackets. Well after spending a frustrating couple of hours with it had to drill a hole and got nowhere i did a little research and had the brilliant idea that we could have porcelain stoneware instead of ceramic tiles, I went down to the basement and found our old box of tiles and discovered it was porcelain Porcelain tile is much harder than ceramic tile and requires a diamond hole saw to cut it. I then evaluated diamond hole saws and found them to be very expensive. Also, no one had 1 1/4" in stock and had to order extra will. Obviously 1 3/8" is the standard, not 1 1/4" (what Moen says). I then called the local tile shop in our small town and they had one we could rent for $15 a day. The only problem was that it was 1 3/8 inches. We measured the bracket hole and decided it was close enough. We rented it and it worked like a charm. The holes were drilled in no time, after that everything ran smoothly. Remove the center bit from the hole saw (it's not a diamond bit) as it has nothing to catch, and search the internet for ways to ensure your hole saw doesn't slip while you're drilling. The only thing we don't like about the Securemont mount is that the metal plate is somewhat visible as the end caps on the Moen Grab Bars aren't wide enough to fully slide over the metal plates. I have no idea why Moen missized the brackets so they wouldn't be visible under the rails. I'm sorry this review has become so long! I think the gist of my review is that if you have porcelain stoneware you need to use a diamond hole saw and try to rent them from your local tile shop because they are very expensive. Also, please remember that a 1 3/8" diamond hole saw worked for us as you will likely have trouble finding the 1 1/4" you need in Moen's instructions. (Oh, and we also almost drilled a hole in one of our vent pipes that we didn't realize was behind a tile!)
