The product works great with brown algae.
Personally I think this is an excellent product. I have a 3 gallon tank of betta fish and I always have seaweed to clean things in the tank. It's safer than bleach or soap, which is important to me, and it works. I take the item out of the tank, spray/soak it for 10 minutes, wipe it down with a paper towel or algae scrubber depending on the item, rinse it, soak it again in purified water and put it back in the tank. Light.
