Review on Renewed Samsung Galaxy A50 Verizon Smartphone in Black with 64GB Storage by Amit Kumar (Amit) ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I'm very happy with the product, it's very satisfying.

I took the A50 to replace the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1, which completely suited me, except for the terrible camera - in fact, the camera was the main argument in favor of buying a Samsung. The camera as a whole pleased, although, of course, I would have liked even better, but it was foolish to expect miracles in the budget segment. There are only three cameras (not including selfies). Autofocus is fast enough, there is optical stabilization, there is a manual mode with setting ISO, white balance and exposure, and an ultra-wide angle is sometimes an irreplaceable thing. I'm generally satisfied with the quality of the pictures, if they are not greatly enlarged. With dense foliage of trees, like most cameras, the A50 does not cope very well, it turns out to be mushy. Well, in conditions of lack of light, the result is not very aesthetic. When shooting video, there are two fun features - slow motion and hyperlapse (as if accelerated). Not very necessary, but nice stuff. The device works very fast, does not freeze, responds well. I did not test games, only applications of varying severity. Very good, bright screen, and auto-brightness for lighting works for once. NFC works flawlessly. Face unlock works adequately, but the fingerprint scanner built into the screen is a fat engineering minus, it is very slow and recognizes a finger from three to five times. Big disappointment after leaving Asus. Another feature that I miss after my previous phone is the automatic blocking of spam calls. On Asus, it was even on a budget model, on Samsung, in my opinion, only on the S-series. The biggest frustration after M1 is running time. With not very high activity, the charge lasts for two days, on Asus it lasted up to 4 days. Of course, Samsung could not do without its strange applications, but in the A50 they do not really interfere, and I do not receive notifications from them. The only thing that annoyed with its uselessness - Bixby widgets - was empirically disabled. It looks like an ordinary smartphone, but you can’t even tell if it’s expensive or not.
