Review on Douk Audio U2 PRO XMOS XU208 Digital Interface - USB To TOSLINK/Coaxial/Optical/HDMI IIS Adapter For DAC, Preamp & Amplifier | PCM & DSD256 Support by Johnathan Delgado

I bought this to use with my Topping D70S DAC. I figured that the sound would be better over i2s or Coax than using usb straight out of the computer. I was proved wrong.After installing drivers and even powering this unit with a clean IFI 5v power supply I was heavily disappointed with the sound coming out of it. Bass was reduced 80-90%, and while the top end sounded clean, the sound stage shrank considerably. In short the sound coming out of this unit was barely better than just using my computer's internal DAC. Also to note, this unit does not pass along a MQA signal. Using i2s or Coax the sound was very similar and a let down either way. Bypassing the unit and returning to USB straight to my D70S restored the full and rich sound it is capable of.I would not recommend this unit to anyone looking for better sound. It can output sound over all it's outputs at once, but if you are the type of person to utilize that you likely also care about SQ and that is where the Mini XMOS XU208 USB Digital Interface falls woefully short.
