Review on M-Wave Kids & Gear Bicycle Trailer by Michael Willis

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great bicycle trailer

Have used the trailer twice, everything is great! I bought this for my 13 month old daughter, she is VERY tall for her age (literally disappeared from the charts since she was 4 months old). I'm only 5ft 2" tall and hooked this up to my Cannondale hybrid. I did a lot of research before I bought the trailer. I wanted something with a seat that reclines so her helmet doesn't push forward over her eyes. While a little recline of the seat definitely helps, I found that was still an issue on our first ride, so I used my maternity pillow with the chock behind her back and the problem was solved! Another problem I found was that her head was dangling as she fell asleep so i just bought a seat belt pillow that is usually used in the car, i will tell you how it works. The trailer locks into place in about a minute, and unless you're climbing a slope or facing a headwind, you won't even know it's there. I only gave 4 stars because I don't see much room for improvement like tinting the side windows. to block out some more sun (we live in Florida so I'll put on my Martha Stewart and try to sew on something with velcro to block out more light). Also, it's a German company, so you'll have trouble figuring out whether or not you can convert it into a runner, as the instruction manual makes you think you can. I also find it almost impossible to buy another hitch for my husband's bike even though it takes over 5 minutes to fit it on his bike as our hybrid bikes have a removable tire. Overall I think this is a pretty cool trailer, a great alternative to the Burley trailer I really wanted that sells for almost $700. Packed with safety features, the M-Wave offers plenty of storage space, folds down for easy storage and sets up in a minute. Conclusion: I love this trailer!
