I don't know what the official rule is, so I can't say how close it is to it. What I can say is that for a random person who wanted to try Kubb, it was a great set. The felt is well made, has been solid so far and we haven't had any issues. You get the faint sounds you would expect when you throw two pieces of wood at each other, but it's no big deal. As for the bag, it's easy to pack. If you can pack a suitcase and/or tie your own shoes, you can pack that too. Large items are placed at the bottom, small items at the top. If you're really worried you won't make it, just look at how it's packaged before you take it out. But to be honest I'm amazed that anyone had a problem. If you're an avid Kubb fan, ask someone else. If you are a casual player or want to get into the game, this is a great set.
