Depending on how small you are, you can sit in this bag and ask someone to take it. But seriously. I bought a 150 liter bag and later a 60 liter bag. The 150 liter bag is great but if you want to use it to its full potential you will need to invest in back support and better shoulder pads as this backpack will destroy them. On the other hand, everything you need for a long hike fits in, including a fairly large tent. When I have to carry a lot of gear I choose this bag and it can even be overkill. The 60 liter bag is ideal for many uses. I did a motorcycle trip with it, with several days of gear and tons of water as there were 100+ on the trip. Tip for riders, relax your shoulders so the bag sits on the bike and not on your shoulders, your spine and shoulders will thank you. I bought this anticipating the worst case scenario of carrying gear to school. Too bad it probably won't find much use compared to my 30 liter day driver's bag, because it has a lot of utility.
