I made a custom lift for the rear of the mower and it was the perfect accessory. I'm a retired tow truck driver and have used a winch every day for the past 15 years. This little guy is a bit noisy and slow, but that's from a guy who uses professional hydraulic winches. I had almost 900 pounds on it and I didn't mind, but the mower did. I used it to pull fence posts out of the ground, both metal and 4" round wood posts. BTW, the instructions say not to use it as an elevator. It's already a year old and this review is really overdue. But the good news is that in northern Nevada desert weather (snow, sand piles, 110 F summer, occasional thunderstorms) it worked and got strong 24/7 almost every day. It is weathered but shows no signs of rust or corrosion. If it is now "broken" then this rating stands as it has lasted longer than expected for the price. The handiest thing to have on hand didn't know how often I use it but it is almost every day. I made a scraper and winch controls the raise and lower for this and a 5 inch rake. I made a dump trailer out of a 55 gallon drum and used a winch to raise the trailer for unloading. Even with a mower battery, I can use it for 5 minutes (winding up the cord under 500 pounds). charge) and still start the mower. I have 2 more, 1 is on a trailer mounted boom lift and the other is on the front of the mower.
