Review on Banks πŸš€ 41837-D Air Intake Kit by Leo Fairchild

Missing parts but excellent banking service

I received this item on time. The box was in good condition and the contents were also in good condition. I was dying to install this item, so I immediately removed the OEM pickup without properly inventorying the new item. When I started to install, I found that I was missing a total of 5 pieces (9 pieces total), making the installation impossible. I emailed Banks Power directly and let them know what I was missing. They were kind enough to send me any missing parts free of charge and in a timely manner. Once all the parts were in place, installation was fairly easy. Even installing the MAF sensor wasn't as difficult as others describe. The intake can be noisy at 2800-3000 rpm (I actually like it). When I first heard the loud noise, I didn't realize it was my Jeep and looked around for a truck or larger vehicle. Can't confirm fuel consumption as I don't usually keep an eye on it. In terms of performance, it just sounds like it's soaking up all the vibes around you, which leads me to believe it adds a bit more performance. But I don't know if the car isn't on a dyno. I can do it as soon as I install the dual exhaust.
