Small diameter makes installation easy. This is a direct upgrade from shorter filters so you don't have to move any pipework or fittings for them. It's heavy when full of water, so buy a mounting bracket if it's a new installation or if you're replacing a smaller filter without a bracket. The Pentek 155003 connector can be used to double your inventory of 10" filters for this application. Installing new filters is a bit tricky. Gently shake the filter until it is perfectly vertical and fits into the water inlet. Update: The plastic fittings are a bit loose. When I first assembled it I had to redo the brass fittings with additional teflon tape because they were screwed in too much. The inlet clutch just started leaking after a month of use because it had loosened enough to require another turn. I hope it doesn't loosen any more because there is only one turn left until the end of the thread.
