🏠 Pentek 3G Standard Housing with Enhanced Pressure Capabilities Review

I use this clear body with a pre-filter to catch sediment and fine particles before they reach my main filter. The transparent housing makes it easy to see when a replacement is needed.

Works great! but not 100% user friendly without wrench Pentek SW-2 standard housing wrench or Pentek suspension bracket 150578 MC-1A bracket for 3/4 inch 3G filter housing. Less pressure drop with this filter size compared to smaller, more compact filter housings. The filters are a bit more expensive, but you save less frequent filter changes.

The housing works fine but I had to replace the o-ring as it leaked initially. I didn't notice any drop in water pressure and it worked wonders to purify the water. I love seeing how dirty the filter is, but you have to be careful not to let sunlight hit the case or you'll get algae. One star was removed because the O-ring needed to be replaced immediately. The photo shows that the filter is a little dirty.

New debris loosening device. The house had a 10 inch filter but the amount of sediment from the well was so great that we changed the filters too often. When replacing the pipes in the house, we added a few of these filters in parallel. Therefore we should see the maximum volume with the minimum limit until both are plugged or replaced. Small diameter makes installation easy. This is a direct upgrade from shorter filters so you don't have to move any pipework or fittings for them. It's heavy when full of water, so buy a mounting bracket if it's a new installation or if you're replacing a smaller filter without a bracket.
