I bought these as a replacement for my long underwear called 'silk'. Probably not quite silky, but very thin and goes with everything. I have however gained weight over the years and was dying for something warmer so I ordered it but I would have preferred white and was concerned it would be too thick. The reviews said it was flimsy so I took a chance. I was not disappointed. Even though my jeans aren't as loose as I'd like, they fit perfectly. It also fits under a tight shirt. I didn't care that he was black. In terms of sizing, I went for XXL because I didn't want to risk it being too straight in the chest or too short, leaving the crotch 4 inches below where it should be. I'm glad I chose XXL because although it was a bit too long, it didn't irritate and made it comfortable. With 3 layers of clothing, the last thing I want to feel is tightness. Size wise, I'm 5ft 6" and wear a size 16 if you're interested in size. I bought it because I sometimes have to work outside at night in 35 to 60 degrees Fahrenheit. I know it's not. can be very cold for some people but my job is sedentary and I can catch a cold in the middle of the night when I'm tired. I haven't had any breaks or leads so far. They feel very soft on the inside, which I like. I am very happy that I bought it and can only recommend it.
