Review on πŸ”Œ HDMI Extender Over LAN by Orei: Single CAT6A/Cat7 Cable, 1080P @ 60Hz with IR, Up to 160 ft Range, Loop Out Function, Digital Full HD by Kenkoy Braggs

Works most of the time but seems pretty picky

I'm using one of these in a conference room to run 60Hz 1080P or 60Hz 1920x1200 depending on the input source on a Extend projector at a distance of about 50 feet CAT6. With a bit of fiddling, I was able to get it to work in some configurations, but not in others. The HDMI output of the transmitter that I received is not working. I've only tried this with one monitor, but this monitor works if I take the source and plug it directly into the monitor, not an extension cord. The same monitor works when connected to the receiver. The extender didn't work when it was in front of the HDMI switch. It works when placed after the HDMI switch. The kit includes two power supplies, but only one is needed. However, power supplies for splitters are not very practical. I'd rather just use an adapter that doesn't take up as much space.

Pros
  • Many will
Cons
  • Can't remember but there was something
