I installed this tank in my 81 Scirocco. The dimensions of the tank are identical to the standard tank. This appears to be the only aftermarket tank that has a weir cup installed around the fuel pickup. Unfortunately, none of the aftermarket tanks have a pre-strainer to keep debris out of your fuel pump. I recommend using the built-in pre-filter for your pump. Otherwise it's a good tank. Definitely worth it if you have an mk1 with a rotten fuel tank! Don't forget to replace the filler hose as it's probably rock hard. And get some styrofoam tape to stick it on to keep the tank from rattling against the body.
