I took this adapter for a netbook so that all home devices become N standard and on the access point (TP-Link TL-WR841ND) you can set the N only mode. I also wanted to increase the speed of the netbook's communication with the home NAS connected to the router with a wire: 150 Mbps would suit me just fine. I connected it, installed the latest drivers, turned off the built-in wi-fi adapter of the netbook . A severe disappointment - the connection breaks all the time, the exchange with the NAS does not exceed 600 Kbps, the connection speed shows around 30 Kbps. And this despite the fact that the built-in netbook adapter exchanges stably with the NAS at a speed of about 2 MB / s and the connection to the point shows constantly 54 Kbps. He fought this way and that: changed the channel (even set it to 14), channel width, mode, turned off QSS - all to no avail. I borrowed an old ASUS USB-N11 adapter from a friend (it's still N-draft) - it works fine, the exchange with the NAS is about 4 MB / s, the connection speed with the point shows 150 Mbps, the connection does not break. Conclusion: the trendnet adapter is not recommended for purchase.
