Precision Screwdriver Set

I have owned these since 2001 and they are great! I bought them from a major hardware store (Home D***) and they are an American made variety so I'm not sure if they are made in China now. This is a quality product so I'm not sure why the reviews are the way they are. I originally got them because I needed an accurate set to work with my RC cars. I wanted something with longer shanks (which was a little hard to find) and found them at a good price. You will receive 5 screwdrivers, 3 Phillips and 2 flat blades in sizes #0, #000 and #1 for a Phillips blade, 3/32" and a 1/8" flat blade. The three longer shanks (2x #0 and #1 crossed, 1/8 flat blade) are over 3 inches long and are great for getting into tight spaces that the shorter shank can't reach. The other two are about 2 inches long. 1/2" which are ideal for very precise application. They have caps on top that allow you to lock the tool in place and push down and rotate it in your fingers without turning your wrist for precision work and to avoid overload Tighten and remove the screw Shafts are hardened chrome vanadium tool steel with hard chrome plating to prevent wear and corrosion Home repair, repairing toys, electronics, my glasses, computers and other tools I'm an IT professional and use them on computers all the time, I've had no problem with them bending or breaking on me, and I'm a bit picky about my tools at times, and sometimes use them for things that... they weren't designed (punching holes in things, ripping things like chisels, scrapers, off screw heads they weren't designed for) and they don't pay attention to Mis custom. In a set of such screwdrivers, it is usually the flat blades that break first. The blades will bend or break, rendering them useless unless you repair them. I can say that after more than ten years of intensive use this has not been a problem. The Philips heads are well ground with no wear or erosion of the tips. They are also easy to use for small and large jobs. The top caps are large, comfortable to hold and great for being able to hold a screwdriver and quickly loosen the screws. The knurling on the handle is nice and deep and its shape helps control the screwdriver. The only annoying thing is that the #000 bit is too small for most of the screws I've used it on. The tip was too pointed and didn't fit properly in the screws, forcing me to remove one (it wasn't easy to replace) but I fixed this by using a precision grinding wheel to flatten the tip a bit. Another complaint I have is that they don't have non-slip handles. Since then there has never been a problem. The flat tips have never kinked or snapped off unlike some others I've used that lasted a few months or a year and then fell apart. , shot-peened tips Easy to grip and control Top cap rotates for added control Cons: The smallest Phillips tip is too sharp for most small Phillips screws. I wish they had non slip handles. I highly recommend this set. It's perfect for all light (or even medium) home repairs, toys, electronics, computers, hobbies etc. They fit 98% of the screws I've used them on and come in 5 very handy sizes and configurations. There may be more accurate sets, but the longer shanks make them unique in this class and increase their versatility. Their durability has withstood years of use and abuse! As a professional who uses it almost every day, I recommend it unreservedly.
