Review on SCS Direct Building Bricks Connectivity by Stanley Molden

The Lego bases are so expensive that I'm giving this 2 stars because although they are relatively cheap and strong enough, I don't think they will break unless you or your children do intentional or rash actions with the base plates. they just don't work very well. I gave it to my kids for Christmas and they loved it at first. I have three kids under the age of 8 and they build a bunch of crazy things. I thought I would see forts, castles and superhero bases. But after a few weeks of trying to use these bases, they pretty much gave up on them and went back to just doing their creations on a flat table top. I'm not sure if the spiked top layer is too flat or if the boards just flex too much, but anything my kids or I build on them bounces up very easily. In fact, I hesitate to say that the buildings we build "pop" because often the first step is to get the buildings to actually stick to the ground. Not a product I would buy again or recommend.
