Review on Honeywell Ceiling Fans 50614 01 Industrial by Trevor Garrett

At first I installed it myself, just a normal DIYer. Replaced the old fan with this one. So the wiring was intact, just swapped. I first ordered an item in an open box in "very good condition". It was in terrible condition and I ended up sending it back for a brand new one. I didn't go for the remote fan controller because I have a wireless Casita fan controller and I can use it through my smart home, which works much better. I can't believe the amount of negative feedback on this fan, although some of it is due to the installation of a remote control which I can't comment on. One reviewer said he has been an electrician for over 30 years and this is the worst fan he has ever installed it is so scary considering I had no problem and don't have the same qualifications. The worst thing about the installation for me was the fan blades. Since I did it alone, without any help, this was the hardest part. I haven't tried it, but I would almost recommend installing them before installing a fan. Definitely watch out. The design is great and it works great with my setup. One thing to consider is that if you are not flush mounting you will need to purchase a separate stem. There aren't many options for the 12" rod on Amazon but I finally found it. It was a little tricky as it was made by another manufacturer, I just used old parts from the fan I replaced. There is a lot of wire going through the bottom bar. It took me about an hour and a half to install it myself, with the old fan dismantling and the baby running around.
