Review on Amazon Basics Rubber Sanding Block: Essential Tool for Smoother Surfaces by Robert Hardin

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Works well, uses striped sheet

This is a basic sanding block so not much to write about. It is quite hard with very little ductility, making it good for grinding flat surfaces. At first I was annoyed that this block uses an unusual size of sandpaper, but it actually uses 1/4 sheet like my other sanding blocks - but you have to cut it into strips (see how I laid out the block in the picture, you DO NOT cut the paper into 4 parts, as in the "4 Squares" game). With this in mind, the strips are easy to cut and use without a lot of waste. The nails under the rubber rings at each end hold the paper quite well and I haven't had any issues with the paper slipping out so far. All in all it does the trick. It's not some fancy ergonomic creation with all the bells and whistles, but an almost indestructible block of plastic that should last for years.
