Review on 🎸 CrystaLac Brite Tone High Solids Polyurethane Instrument Finish 16 oz Pint – Clear Gloss for Stunning Instrument Protection by Thunder Ballman

Poor result on the first try. It was my fault. No harmful fumes!

My first experience with this was terrible. I had to take everything off that was easy on flat surfaces because it came loose in sheets. It took many hours to remove the corners, not to mention the damage that had to be repaired once I finally took them off. There are no instructions from the manufacturer, instead he sends you a YouTube video at Highline Guitars. Do you think they will have any suggestions for its application? Where did the guy in the YouTube video get the information? I really don't like trying new products because I work so hard to get to the point where I can apply the finish that I might have to take it all off and start over. The problem was that I sanded it too soon and it came off in one spot. You really have to wait about a week for it to heal properly. However, I applied this to another item and waited a week and then sanded and polished. The end result was stunning. It was very close to nitrocellulose varnish without the fumes, hassle, and long waits to release the gas. I applied 5 coats 2 hours apart, waited a week, sanded 1000-3000 and then polished. Respiratory protection is not required.
