Review on πŸš€ Banks 41837 RAM Air Intake System: Enhancing Performance and Efficiency by Ricardo Tlaxcalteca

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Do it for whatever reason you think you want to. So easy to install.

I've always been skeptical of cold air intakes, but I noticed some hesitation on my 16 foot 4 door Wrangler Rubicon after a 2.5 inch lift and 33 inch tires. I did a flash calibration to calibrate my transmission shift points and it helped a bit but I honestly thought something might be wrong with my transmission due to the slow start from 0 to 2nd automatic transmission. This recording added a lot of noise and eliminated the lag I was experiencing at low speeds. Butt Dyno agrees. I don't think it made the jeep any faster, but it made it a lot easier to get going. A child can install this with a screwdriver and a wrench. Took me about 45 minutes from start to finish (unboxing, finding tools, taking out the OEM and installing a new one). I did 35k on my wrangler, intake box and filter were clean. It doesn't look like the new box's open design will keep dust and debris out off-road. Just something to note, luckily for me it's only a few times a year.
