Review on Explore Endless Possibilities with the Denise Interchangeable Knitting Needles Kit in Blue Brights! by Tara Ford

Attaching the extensions to the hooks is superb!

I was looking for good Tunisian crochet hooks to knit large items like robes and shawls for hospices and nursing homes. The best I've found so far are bamboo with plastic tube extensions, but they're not big enough. I like to use a #17 worsted crochet hook. The result is a light and warm fabric that feels like thermal fabric. I need about 20 inches to secure all the seams. I need a paper clip to hold the extensions in place, but they become loose over time. But they are well fixed. My only complaint is that the hooks aren't long enough. A standard hook is 6" long - that's 4 1/2" from tip to taper. I am concerned about the weight of the loops held by the last 3 fingers of the right hand holding the hook. Stress on the locking mechanism I am a knitter, not a crocheter - don't like to crochet and could not get used to holding the needle like a pen Light but warm towels and loincloth I have knitted the same items with worsted needles and 10 1/2 circular needles - Tunisian crochet is better and actually uses less yarn of the same yardage. I will be replacing my set of spare needles with a set from this manufacturer. Actor. I love knitting kids sweaters (top down/one piece) but all the kits I have seen and used before use are threaded onto extensions which sometimes break and have inflexible connectors. 4 1/2" needles are no problem.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • No machine

Do not hesitate to buy these, or even buy one size test needle set.
