Get an ice rink when you have a lot of space to cover. I didn't have that much space and having this tool helped. It looks like a tiny pizza cutter but is designed for crafts or fabrics. Here are the issues I had: my textured walls, which are hard to do with anyway, BUT with a grinder and some wall cleaner, they held up well. In some places I have to keep pushing because it's always uphill, but that can also be my fault. This is a craft for lazy/cheap people, the only thing you might need to do is prep the wall. Also, the adhesive on the back is pretty strong for the first hour, but I'm sensitive to smells. I would recommend!
