This is a great external device for a capture card. Got this for my church live stream to bring videos from our presentation computer. This device is plug and play and requires no Mac or PC drivers. He was constantly working on a 2019 iMac with Wirecast. Also works on PC with VMix and OBS. The build is solid, backward compatible with 2.0. I used it with an old 2011 MacBook Pro. We just received it at the start of the COVID lockdown and I was concerned there weren't many reviews at the time but I'm happy with the purchase. The only downside is that you will be using the USB port.
