I replaced the entire exhaust system with a Scion XB; from "Cats" back. I also bought a matching resonator. Installation was pretty easy. I was lucky enough to use the elevator. My exhaust pipe is rusted right where it meets the tuned pipe. It remained only to cut the pipe immediately after the resonator and loosen the clamp that pressed the resonator outlet pipe to the muffler. The resonator has also changed for me. You will need a ring gasket and a clamp to get from the resonator to the muffler. The one piece clip that is also part of the walker is quite expensive for an OEM style clip. I don't recommend a cheaper clamp for the job. Hangers are the "hard" part of the job. These are rubber parts with a tapered metal end that goes through a rubber hole. The job seems harder than it is. Lubricating the rubber and metal shaft with a little oil or grease will make removing the fasteners much easier. There is no need to destroy or cut fasteners. The smear trick works. Assembly is VERY quick and easy. Walker is the only company that manufactures these replacement parts. This is a good company with a solid reputation for making quality products. I don't expect it to last as long as the OEM, but this isn't a new car. The OEM lasted 10 years and 150,000 miles. My only wish is that Walker make separate tubes, resonator and muffler instead of welding them together as a whole. The fact is that the PIPES were the cause of the problem. The actual muffler and resonator were still in excellent shape. Luckily, the cost of bundled devices isn't that high if you buy them here at Revain. These are the same parts used in the muffler shop as Walker is the only replacement. If you can do the work yourself, you save quite a bit.
