Muffler dented, scratched AND dented. Came without a box. Plastic and paper shipping labels are attached to the muffler. It took 10 times longer to clean everything to keep the car from catching fire than the actual installation.

Great muffler. I bought 04 Scion xb from a private seller. I bought this muffler for my 2004 Scion xB and it was a direct replacement for a rusty factory muffler. Everything fit perfectly. When I received it the box was damaged and 75% open. My 2005 Scion xB has always been louder than I thought it would be. With a sound level meter, it averages 75 to 78 decibels while driving on the freeway, peaking at 82 decibels. With this new muffler I averaged 64 decibels and peaked at 74 decibels under hard acceleration. Installation was relatively easy. I replaced the entire exhaust system with a Scion XB; from "Cats" back. I also bought a matching resonator. Installation was pretty easy. I was lucky enough to use the elevator. My exhaust pipe is rusted right where it meets the tuned pipe. It remained only to cut the pipe immediately after the resonator and loosen the clamp that pressed the resonator outlet pipe to the muffler. The resonator has also changed for me.
