I've had this light for three months now and ride it on the American Tobacco Trail in Durham, NC. I mostly drive with low beam, which is good for both ATT and road driving. I've used it in all kinds of weather: warm, cold, pouring rain, etc. and it works very well. The base allows you to adjust the position up/down and left/right. The battery life is very good, over 4 hours with a charge indicator that changes from green to blue to red. I've driven red with low beam for just over 50 minutes a few times with no problems. PROBLEM AND SOLUTION: After about a month of use, the charging indicator suddenly started blinking from green to red and the light started flickering. Even after a recent charge. I had to turn the light off and on again to get it green again. After riding a bit, I noticed that this happens on some bumps, but not always. It must have been a weak connection so I decided to take a look. When removing the battery compartment back plate, I felt that the screw was loose. Everything looked fine and the batteries were fine, but then I noticed that a screw on the back provides a ground (-) to the unit. The vibration seems to loosen it and the connection becomes erratic. I just tightened the screw and the problem went away. If it happens again I'll probably just add a lock washer. PROS: - Great for road riding (ATT is mostly paved with some dirt patches and I haven't used it off-road). - I also often use it as a hand. Light for all sorts of things (I'm handyman/mechanic on weekends). Missing information. - I had to find out that the charging goes from flashing RED to BLUE to GREEN to solid GREEN when fully charged. Light. - No Notes on charging/troubleshooting Can be omitted - Dislike/use flashing modes (strobe or SOS). I use a separate flash along with this one when driving down the street. WISHLIST - A way to disable/enable flashing modes. - A way to switch between low and high with one click. The light is good for what I need. I didn't give 5 stars due to the above issues. Update November 2019: After 2 years of use, like others, the plastic base broke. I used a drill and screw to connect the pieces but just wish they would provide a base as well. The rest of the flashlight continues to work well even after I've dropped it a few times (I also use it as a flashlight). Update October 2021: Base: Like others, problem with plastic base. My 2019 repair didn't last long so I used Gorilla Glue in early 2020. The base can only be adjusted up and down, but it still does the job. Flicker problem: The light is 4 years old and still has the same batteries. I don't know if it's the batteries or the internal electronics, but now every major hit will cause the light to flash and flicker from green/blue to red. I think after 4 years of use it's time for a new lamp.
