I love this star tree! The beautiful snowflakes and snowfall images that appear on my ceiling move at just the right speed. I was pleasantly surprised that it is very calming and also festive! This star comes with instructions on how to attach it to your tree, so you can easily get over the fact that it's a little heavy and appears upright. Yes, the closer the treetop is to your ceiling, the smaller the overall size of the projected image. So it's not effective on tall trees unless you have a vaulted ceiling. BUT! Who said it has to go up a tree? Why not install it ABOVE your existing table lamp panel? I think a star would look good over a large table lamp and then the projected images would cover a large area on the ceiling. I'll try that next year.
